About
By Skelp, we design and build modular, movable units based on the principle of the Modulor system by Le Corbusier, rooted in human proportions and functional logic. Le Corbusier described living as “a machine for living in”: a thoughtful living space that supports daily life. We translate that vision today into contemporary, comfortable, and energy-efficient units for living, working, care, and practice.
Our designs are strongly influenced by Japanese construction philosophy, where simplicity, tranquility, and material experience are central. The foundation of each unit is our own custom-designed steel frame, standard powder-coated in a color of choice. This frame provides structural strength, mobility, and a long lifespan.
We work with high-quality insulation, sustainable, quality materials, and a thoughtful technical setup that ensures a pleasant indoor climate, strong thermal performance, and low energy consumption. Skelp does not represent mass production but rather completely custom work: each unit is tailored to the function, location, and wishes of the user. This creates movable spaces that are technically sound, aesthetically pleasing, and sustainably usable over time.
